1 Storage and transportation

For short-time storage, keep a cartridge attached to Kilobaser. When the placeholder chip is inserted, the gas supply can be turned off safely.

If Kilobaser is supposed to stand idle for a longer period of time (more than one month), it is recommended to remove the cartridge from the device. The cartridge has to be removed in case of any transportation, otherwise reagents may spill out. In order to prevent clogging of the needles after the cartridge has been removed, Kilobaser needs to be cleaned either manually or using a cleaning cartridge.

After removing the cartridge and subsequent cleaning, Kilobaser can be safely stored or transported.

2 Taking the unit out of service

Never place any electrical devices in your household refuse. Old electrical devices have to be separated from other waste and disposed of in an environment-friendly fashion, e.g. by taking it to a recycling depot.

If the device no longer works, please contact the Kilobaser support to arrange the return of the defective device to the manufacturer, where it will be repaired or appropriately recycled.

As an alternative to returning the defective/old device to the manufacturer, the owner of the Kilobaser must make sure that the device is properly disposed of. The old device should be taken to a suitable collection center that will dispose of it in accordance with the national recycling and waste disposal regulations. If you do not know the whereabouts about such a collection center, you should ask in your local council offices.
